European Football Championship 2012 news
2012 will go down as a great year for representation of Eastern Europe (specifically, former nations of the Soviet bloc) in the soccer championships. Poland and Ukraine, selected as hosts of the European Football Championship 2012, have long hoped to be get their turn at enjoying both the audiences, as wel as a great deal of construction investments and enormous financial benefits that come with hosting. Six cities in Poland (Warsaw, Gdansk, Poznan, Wroclaw, Chorzow and Krakow) will host the opening match, various group matches, and one each of the quarter finals and semifinals.
Ukraine will host some games in Kiev, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk, and Kiev's Olympic stadium is slated to host the finale. Current estimates state that up to $3 billion in revenues could be gained by the two countries from their performing the hosting duties. This sudden elevation of the nations into the international sport spotlight may not be something they are fully prepared for. As one example, the Polish hotel community is reportedly not ready to take bookings for the events (according to Booked.net in October 2011). The Union of European Football Association (UEFA) is nonetheless expecting the industry to meet all their requirements in time for the games.
Ukraine's transport system in Lviv has also had to assure the European Football Championship 2012 planners that all transportation issues will be solved by the time of the games. In a worst case scenario, Poland may be prepared to use more stadiums to compensate, for any inability of Ukraine to meet the deadlines for it's stadiums. But more optimistic observerrs expect this event to be the occasion where both will succeed in putting their best foot forward, in showing to the world they are now 21st century countries. Some local partisans fully anticipate Ukraine to actually win the World Championship (although Polish fans may differ on that detail).
This website provide information about Euro 2012 tickets, hotels in Poland and Ukraine, and Euro 2012 qualifying stages. Increased excitement about the games as the dates grow near is to be expected, so the interested parties should get their updates on the status of the arrangements sooner than later. This is especially critical for those planning the pilgrimage to the host countries, who should therefore keep track of the hotel accomodations issue as it develops.

Euro 2012: Poland and Ukraine to Raise Football Standard
Holding Euro 2012 championship is prestigious but for people entrusted with the responsibility for making arrangements within a tight time frame it becomes a night mare sometimes. Poland Ukraine who are hosting Euro 2012 jointly it is a matter of satisfaction and a challenge. Satisfaction come from two facts, they fought against very powerful in the football field like Italy and Hungary and got the tournament allotted to them. The second reason of satisfaction can be considered as a by-product of the first one. As host nations both Poland and Ukraine entered the final of the UEFA championship and have joined the other 14 who will qualify to play in the finals.
Realizing their responsibility and how the image of their countries will be affected, both Poland and Ukraine have been putting their best foot forward to get everything in place before the tournament starts. The task is really huge. A new stadium has to be built at the selected venue if the existing one is not satisfactory. Good stadia elsewhere have to be enlarged, renovated and modernized to meet the stipulation of UEFA. Access to the places holding the matches and the venues, intra and inter venue movements are all being improved. Airports which will see a huge volume of traffic in and out is seeing modernization and expansion.
About a year ago UEFA officials had been Skeptical about Ukraine’s ability to meet the target date. Since then matters have improved fast and the chief of UEFA has expressed satisfaction and confidence that all matters will be ready well ahead of schedule and there is little room for worry as of now.
Euro 2012: Poland and Ukraine the Net Gainer
Ukraine and Poland are getting ready to conduct UEFA 2012 football championship that will be conducted June 8, 2012 and July 1, 2012. As hosts’ nation, they will be two among the sixteen teams playing in the tournament. Having won the right to hold the championship from UEFA against powerful competitors, both Ukraine and Poland are keen to prove their capability to conduct such a prestigious event most successfully.
Most important aspect in any football match is a proper stadium. An important tournament like Euro 2012 requires a number of stadia with five star facilities at various places. This work has been going on at a very fast pace and it is expected that all the stadia where the various matches will be played will be ready with full modern and sophisticated facilities, much before the first match is played. The second important matter is looking after the visitors to these countries witnessing the matches. Their basic requirements like accommodation, food, health, conveyance are all matters of importance and UEFA officials are satisfied about the arrangements being done. Press and TV will have to be properly looked after to avoid any adverse remarks. An arrangement at airport requires upgrading.
UEFA officials after visiting the sites and seeing for themselves the progress made, have expressed satisfaction about the work completed so far. Ukraine and Poland will be immensely relieved if everything goes smoothly as it has so far.
